Who Am I?
I’ve never really known how to love who God has created me to be. The weight of this anointing is so much bigger than I’d ever thought possible.
As a young child, people would always affirm the gifts and talents that I possess. This has made it extremely difficult as an adult to identify with my truest being - my innermost self. “You sing so well!” “Your leadership skills are amazing!” “I love the photos that you took for me!”
But this agonizing question still burdens my soul: WHO AM I?
My name is Mya Jurnae. I am a daughter of the Most High God. Jesus died for me, and He loves me so much. That’s the truth. That’s all I know for sure right now. And that… that’s okay.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:14
On this Jurnae, I’m dedicated to knowing who I am. What do I stand for? What do I enjoy? Why does my mind think the way that it does? What makes me wonderful? WHO AM I?
I don’t have the answers to these questions YET. But mark my words, I will before the end of this year (2025).
I vow to learning, loving, and respecting myself along the way. I will grow in grace, not fear. I will grow in kindness, not hostility. I will grow in love, not hate.
I challenge you to do the same. What if the very thing you’re praying for is waiting for you to become… waiting for you to start. I’m not saying be the finished product, but I am encouraging you to start the process.
